Our Casting Service

Forever Held creates 3D hand and foot castings for families whose babies have died from 32 weeks’ gestation through to six months of age in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

Each baby is treated with the same care and respect, and each casting is made with the understanding that this may be one of the only tangible keepsakes a family ever receives.

As the charity and our casting experience grows, we aim to extend our service to include babies born at earlier gestations.

How it works

01.

Arranging a visit

Once your casting request has been received, we will be in touch to arrange a time to visit.

02.

Creating the Impressions

Using gentle, skin-safe materials, we take delicate impressions of your baby’s hands and feet, capturing the smallest details with care and respect.

03.

A Lasting Keepsake

The impressions are hand-finished into a detailed 3D castings.

Once your baby’s casts are ready (usually around 12 weeks), we will be in touch to arrange collection of your beautiful keepsakes.

The Inspiration Behind Forever Held

Forever Held was inspired by our son, Alfie, and the precious 3D castings we were gifted after his death.

These keepsakes captured his tiny hands and feet — a tangible memory we’ll always treasure. We created Forever Held so other families can preserve their own moments in time, to be forever held.

Help us continue this work

Forever Held is a not-for-profit. Donations help us provide 3D castings to families after loss and cover the materials, time and care required to create each piece.
