About Forever Held

Forever Held was created in memory of our son, Alfie.
After Alfie died, we were offered bespoke 3D hand and foot castings through a charity. These castings became some of the most precious items we own. They captured the smallest details of Alfie’s hands and feet, details we never want to forget.
In the midst of unimaginable loss, having something tangible to hold made an enduring difference. Those castings were not just keepsakes; they were a way of preserving Alfie’s presence, his individuality, and the love we will always carry for him.
Forever Held was born from that experience, with the intention of offering the same opportunity to other families.
What we do
Forever Held provides bespoke 3D hand and foot castings for families whose babies have died, covering all types of pregnancy loss through to six months of age.
Each casting is created slowly and with care, using baby-safe materials, and finished by hand to preserve every unique detail. We understand that this may be one of the only physical keepsakes a family ever receives, and we treat every baby with the dignity and respect they deserve.
As the charity grows and our experience develops, we aim to extend our service to include babies born at earlier gestations.
Why this work matters
Forever Held is shaped by lived experience. We know how important it is for families to leave hospital with something tangible, something that acknowledges their baby’s life and existence.
Every casting we create is made with Alfie in mind, and with an understanding of how deeply these keepsakes can be held and cherished for years to come.
Our aim
Our aim is simple: to ensure more families have access to meaningful, high-quality 3D castings after loss, regardless of circumstance.
With the support of donations, referrals and awareness, Forever Held hopes to continue growing carefully and responsibly, while keeping compassion and respect at the centre of everything we do.
